1959 Plymouth Belvedere 4 door Sedan at Weston Park April 2015

See How Young A Classic Can Be!

This car like its stablemates uses third generation “forward-looking” styling in the year when fins went crazy and Plymouth wasn’t going to be left behind! The target market was younger than previous and everything from the redesign to the pricing reflected that.

The Plymouth Belvedere of 1959 was classed as a mid-level automobile even though it had actually been dropped a level in the line up. Still these cars offered fantastic luxury at a great price and were snapped up with the cars making up over 40% of Plymouth’s sales that year.

This particular example sports and unusual colour which I’m not sure is original (let me know if it’s yours) and it looks great sitting on whitewalls. The chrome is in really nice nick and it’s clearly a loved machine.

Enjoy the pictures! Check out this video of the 1959 Plymouth Belvedere in the show ring at Weston Park.
